Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Erie

Where to start: We rented the two bed room suite and were not sure what we were getting because the description on the ad are not the best. When first entering the suite was the living room and kitchen. The living room was a good size with its own tv and the fireplace was a very nice touch. You really don't find those in hotels. The couch can pull out into a bed, not sure how comfy it would be we didn't use it but the couch itself was comfortable. The kitchen was wonderful, it was nice to have a full kitchen to work with. The sink even had a garbage disposal. The only thing I would of liked to see was a pizza cutter, can opener, and tongs. The kitchen is full of everything you need to cook a simple meal, a full size oven, pans, pots, strainer, plates, bowels, cups, coffee mugs, utensils, and a casserole dish. A microwave, toaster, and four cup coffee pot are included. To finish it off a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The bedrooms each have queen beds, dressers, and TVs. There are plugs with two USB ports attached to each side of the beds which floating bedside shelves. A closet to hang clothes and conveniently towels to dry. Conveniently Attached to the bedroom are private full bathroom with the only down side being the height of the tubs which are not short people friendly. There was some general wear and tear throughout the suite such as cracks, tearing wall paper and dents in the wall but it's not a brand new hotel so I find that normal. Our rooms were clean. The hotel also had a nice size pool, hot tub and basketball court. The breakfast was the same options everyday which worked for my family. If not there was always the option to cook in the room. The staff was great and welcoming, always professional. The location was great with the surrounding restaurants and gas stations, along with a super walmart just down the road. We did not come for splash lagoon but it is nice how the hotel is attached.

The room was Exactly what I was looking for this trip..I had to travel with my mom n dad to PA for my sons reception, he n his wife are both in the airforce so this was even more special especially for my parents cause they haven't seen him in over 2yrs..besides that it was important to me for them to be comfortable as the trip here was a 7hour drive, so when we got here it was a relief to see they even had their own bathroom..I also had to cook for 65 people,I had pre made some things so having an oven n stove to fry up a ton of chicken cutlets was great.I forgot oven mitts and 2 other utensils that thankfully was provided there in kitchen.I was able to do exactly what I needed to do and accommodate my parents.

Having our rooms right across from each other so our kids could go back and forth without disturbing the entire hotel. Plus the manager (I'm so sorry I don't recall her name) was a godsend. I booked the wrong room and she instantly did what she could and made it better! That lady is a 10+ lady and deserves ALL the recognition!

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable , my grandchildren loved the pull out bed and the pool. We were very comfortable and had a great time!

The room itself had a nice apartment feel to it. Very comfortable. Location of property was very convenient. Most of the staff were very friendly.
